The environment is central to our lives and to our work. The most fundamental aspect of this ethic in decorative concrete work is a rejection of our throw-away culture...we don't want you to get rid of your driveway (patio, countertop, fireplace, etc. etc) and replace it with a new one; rather... you can keep what you have, and make it stronger, more beautiful, and (potentially) radically different! With a small amount of material, you can have a brand new look to your home or business, while minimizing the waste associated with renovations. And by using a strong material you're gifting yourself with the assurance that it will last an incredibly long time (likely much longer than your current taste, but no worries! With minimal material and effort, we can change the look again to keep up with your style!)

Comparing not only the volume of materials used and wasted is important- choosing granite or marble patterns designed from concrete, for example, instead of the "real thing", not only boosts your budget. It means that you're avoiding an industry often associated with bonded (some call it slave) labour in countries like Brazil, Turkey and China; as well as long-distance transport and all of its associated environmental costs.
